We read novellas throughout the year. It does take us two to three months to respond.

  • 20-60 Thousand words
  • Literary fiction – no genre fiction
  • Manuscript formatting

Include with your submission:

  • a blurb:  5-7 sentences on how you would describe the book.
  • a bio: who you are, what you’ve done with your life.
  • a summary: chapter by chapter, no hooks, no mysteries, tell it.

Delphinium is our literary journal, published in June and December.

We are currently accepting submissions for Delphinium.

  • Poetry – no line limit. Please keep your submission from 3-5 poems.
  • Short fiction – up to 5000 words.
  • Creative non-fiction – up to 5000 words.
  • Rolling deadlines May and November.


Joy Series:

Published once yearly in December, this series will look at the inspiration side of serious topics such as teaching, health, personal challenges. A new topic will be announced each January.

2017: Recovery

We are currently looking for stories of successful recovery – more specifically drug and alcohol addiction.

We will consider other types of recovery – divorce, cancer, eating disorders, etc.

  • Poetry – no line limit. Please keep your submission from 3-5 poems.
  • Creative non-fiction/essays – up to 6000 words.
  • Fiction – up to 8000 words.
  • We will consider flash fiction, micro fiction, nano-text, etc.

Publication for this is expected in December. Submission deadline is November 5th. Please do not wait until November to submit. We are open to editing on this issue.
